Point Douglas Stray Cats

WHAT STARTED THIS PROJECT?

I am Kendra, I grew up in North Kildonan and lived in other neighbourhoods where there were not any stray cats around. When I moved to Point Douglas and walked my dogs, I began to notice stray cats that were sick, pregnant and kittens everywhere! I was shocked and my heart was broken. I prayed about it and realized I MUST do something and this was the beginning of Point Douglas Stray Cats.

I started trapping the cats, fixing them and finding them homes one by one. 17 cats came from one street alone!

KITTENS (8 months & under) - $100

CATS (over 8 months old) - $60

All the cats are vaccinated and fixed prior to adopting!

HILARY
Young mom is shy but very sweet. Polydactyl front paws, healthy cat !
Will need a calm home with no dogs.
Seems possible she has been hit in her past, is very easily startled and hides her head.
JAKE
Long fur grey and white male
Very snuggly and mellow.
still slightly timid.
Good with other adult cats.
Jake is also a polydactyl kitten with huge front paws 🐾
RUPERT
Male, polydactyl kitten. He is healthy! Just had extra chromosomes! As mom is also a polydactyl!! He has massive front mitts!!

Timid but Very curious and loves to purr and very playful.

CRICKET
6 month old girl who is sister to Blinky. Both are timid little ones and need time & patience when going to a new home. Both love getting pets and treats. Can go on their own or together as they do love playing together.
BLINKY

PANDA
Panda is a 6 month old boy who is a loving affectionate people kitty, he adores the little girl she’s living with currently. He would do fantastic in a home with kids.

ARCHIE & ECLIPSE
2-year-olds Archie and Eclipse enjoy chasing feathers and each other. Their tails perk straight up when you make breakfast and they give lots of eye kisses while you feed them tube treats. The boys love other cats almost as much as they love each other and would do well in a home where they can continue improving their socialization skills.

BRAIN
Brain is a timid tabby who loves to catch flies and mice.
He was a street cat that survived by hunting !

He will need time to adjust but will do better with a home with another male cat to play and learn from.
DANNY
Danny is actually a she! Danny was on the barn cat list, but with the right home, patience and some TLC, this long-haired beauty could be a special companion.

BATMAN and FRECKLES are the best of friends and need to be adopted together.

FRECKLES
Freckles is a loud cat. She loves attention and seeks it.
She is very attached to Batman and they are very playful together.
He is a little rough but she is vocal, makes sure you know they are playing.
MUST BE ADOPTED WITH BATMAN, THEY ARE A BONDED PAIR.
BATMAN
Batman is a very affectionate cat who adores his human and will show you with lots of head bumps and kisses.
Batman is a long fur kitty who appreciate being brushed.
He prefers to be around other cats, especially if they are female.
He will try hard to make them his friend! He also tries very hard to snuggle with the dogs too!
Batman is aprox. 18 -2 years months old and is fully vaccinated and neutered.
He was found with his big brother Danny, along the river bank on Selkirk, terrified, emaciated, matted.
